Section 4(1)(a) in The Right To Information Act, 2005
 
Maintained all its records duly catalogued and indexed in a manner and the form which facilitates the right to information under this Act and ensured that all records that are appropriate to be computerised are, within a reasonable time and subject to availability of resources, computerised. 

The particulars of its organisation, functions and duties (section 4(1) (b) (i) of RTI Act, 2005:

Basic information in accordance with requirement of RTI Act has been provided by Centre for Entrepreneurship Development of Karnataka (CEDOK), Dharwad. For additional information on the services and activities of CEDOK as also facilities at CEDOK Campus, Belur Industrial Area, Belgaum Road, Dharwad – 580 011. Please refer CEDOK’s website at cedokdwd.karnataka.gov.in

CEDOK  is a Society registered under Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960 and functioning under the Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood, Govt. of Karnataka. The main function / duty of CEDOK is to organize Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps, Entrepreneurship Awareness Programmes, Seminars, Workshops etc. to Department of I&C and other Government Departments / Organisations.

It is widely recognised that education can be a very effective instrument to bring out latent resources and capabilities of people. Based on this belief, the mission of CEDOK is : 

  • to augment the supply of entrepreneurs through education and training.
  • to produce multiplier effect on opportunities for self employment.
  • to improve the managerial capabilities of small entrepreneurs
  • to contribute to the dispersal of entrepreneurship and thus expand the social base of the entrepreneurial class in urban / rural areas.
  • Conducting Monitoring and Evaluation studies.
  • Entrepreneurship Development Programme covering target groups of General and Special for Women SC & ST, Minorities and Backward Classes
  • To be a centre of learning for trainer – motivators on entrepreneurship development.
  • To contribute in growth of entrepreneurship culture, spirit and entrepreneurship development in developing countries.

 A WIDE SPECTRUM OF PROGRAMMES OF  CEDOK :

  1. Three days Entrepreneurship Development Programmes for beneficiaries of Government sponsored schemes.
  2. Six days Entrepreneurship Development Programmes for beneficiaries of Government sponsored schemes
  3. Training of Trainers (ToT) Programmes

Other tailor-made programmes depending on the requirement of different projects on Entrepreneurship Development, Personality Development, Marketing, Profit making activities.

Powers & Duties of its Officers and Employees :

The Director of the organization has been entrusted with powers by the Governing Council to administer and discharge the day to day functions of the organization.

The officers and employees of CEDOK work on the directions of the Director. The officers working in the respective districts implement all the programmes of CEDOK at the districts.

Procedure followed in the decision making process, including channels of supervision and accountability.

Major policy decisions are taken by the Governing Council. Director, CEDOK takes care of day-to-day administration. He supervises the activities of the organization implemented throughout the State.

Norms set by it for the discharge of its functions

CEDOK functions under guidance of Governing Council and provisions of the CEDOK Service Rules.

The rules, regulations, instructions, manuals and records, held by it for discharging its functions:

CEDOK functions are generally governed by the provisions of the Memorandum of Association and decisions of the Governing Council as and when it resolved issues pertaining to rules, regulations etc.

Statement of the categories of documents that are held by it or under its control

Training Materials, Entrepreneurship Development related Books and Brochures.

The particulars of any arrangement that exists for consultation with or representation by the members of the public

A statement of the boards, councils, committees and other bodies consisting of two or more persons constituted as its part or for the purpose of its advice, and as to whether meetings of those boards, councils, committees and other bodies are open to the public or the minutes of such meetings are accessible for public. (Section 4(1) (b) (viii) of RTI Act, 2005)
